Edouard Manet - "Philip IV after Velasquez" Print

Widely considered by scholars to be Manet’s most successful etching, this piece holds influence by Spanish artists Francesco Goya and Diego Velasquez. It demonstrates Manet’s romantic, spontaneous style of working with tools and ability to capture great nuance in all of his artistic pursuits. The piece is realistic without being laboriously detailed, it’s an excellent example of Manet’s skill.
