Edouard Manet "La Toilette" Print

This etching shows a woman wrapped in a towel with another figure behind her, and a basin before her. The woman is caught in a moment as if just noticing the viewer. Her eyes are wide and she pulls her cloth to cover her chest. Manet heavily hatches everything but the woman, making her stand out among the ghosts of other shapes.
