Vivacious flowers of pink, purple, blue, and orange shades burst out of an almost hidden vase with a satisfying fullness. Ruysch paints these with intense detail at the stage of life immediately following the full blossom, with a faint droopiness to each flower and slight yellowing of their leaves. Accompanying the flowers is a beetle and a moth on the outskirts of the vase, preparing themselves to feast on the soon-to-be wilting flowers.

All unframed prints include a suitably sized white border which enhances their look when placed in any standard off-the-shelf frame.
