Kehinde Wiley is an American portrait artist whose large-scale paintings and sculptures engage the visual rhetoric of the heroic, powerful, majestic and sublime in his representation of urban, black and brown men and women he meets throughout the world. For over fifteen years, Wiley has variously drawn on William Morris' iconic floral designs to embellish the backgrounds of these works. This notecard set features the artist’s interpretation of William Morris decorative depictions of tulips and poppies.
