Bamboo Salad Bowl Care Instructions
Your wonderful bamboo salad bowl should be treated gently. The outside of the bowl is sealed with 2 coats of food-safe shellac. To keep your bowl colorful and happy for years, don't leave food in the bowl for storage. Don't submerge your bowl in water or put it in the dishwasher. Gently wipe the bowl out with a soft soapy cloth, wipe soap clean with water and dry the bowl with a soft cloth.

Barbara WF Miner

During my daily ramblings in our fields and forest, I gather branches, bark, leaves and cell phone images of the landscape. Back in my studio, I pull together paints and plan a suite of colors to use for a given artwork. I create layers of texture, pattern, and color using paint and hand-cut stencils building both physical and visual depth like the complex landscape biomes I walk. I borrow shapes and patterns from nature and paint my base layer, add tape stencils and then respond to each painted layer in turn, both hiding the first layer and pulling up taped resist areas to reveal colors underneath. This process builds up a potent patina and a history of the artwork's process which becomes embedded in the DNA of the final artwork. Rather than duplicate what I see, I strive to create an impression of the rich visual tapestry I experience during my time in nature.
